Volunteers
Volunteering is crucial to the success of Welsh Gymnastics. Our volunteers are both recognised and valued in terms of making our sport great. Without our volunteers, many young gymnasts would not have the opportunities to participate in our sport that they deserve.
As a volunteer there are several ways in which you can be involved. You could be responsible for coordinating other volunteers, or participate in the management and coordination of other gymnastics activities and people. This could be at home, in a club, leisure centre, school or similar environment. As with all aspects of our sport the most important thing is to participate and have fun.
There are many useful guides for those thinking about volunteering or taking on a volunteer. For example, visit www.runningsports.org for useful advice on how to recruit, retain, recognise and reward volunteers. SportWales also produces a useful guide with information on how to participate in volunteering. Visit www.behindeverystar.org.uk or to download this guide, click here.
