Welsh gymnast Maisie Methuen visited Maes Ebbw School in Newport last week, to help them prepare for next year's Rotary Schools competition.

Maisie is the British Senior Floor Champion and was the All-Around Silver gymnast at this year’s prestigious British Championships. Although she is incredibly busy with her preparations for next year's Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, she very kindly found time to attend Maes Ebbw with one of the Welsh Gymnastics staff members and demonstrated all floor and beam routines to the school.

Maisie's demonstrations helped to engage the children who took part, and they were all very pleased to get to meet one of our Women’s Artistic Commonwealth 2018 hopefuls. She led the class in an hour of gymnastics and left them very eager to take part in next year’s School Rotary Competition.
