Welsh Gymnastics is excited to announce that FB Curves, the innovative 3D gymnastics app, will be sponsoring this year’s Welsh Artistic Gymnastics Championships on February 17th and 18th.

The app, FB Curves 3D Gym, was developed by former Welsh gymnast Kris Horrigan and his business partner French gymnast, Fabien Bougas.

It allows users to explore a variety of artistic gymnastic moves and helps them to understand the technique required to perform each element accurately.

On announcing the sponsorship, Kris Horrigan said: “FB Curves is thrilled to be involved in this year’s Welsh Championships, especially as they also include the final Commonwealth Games trials for men and women’s artistic gymnasts.”

“Working with Welsh Gymnastics over the past few months has been great for us as a company and we are pleased and grateful to extend this partnership to the Welsh Championships.”

FB Curves 3D Gym includes zoom functions, 360-degree rotation and speed variation so that each movement can be studied in detail, all at the control of the user.

Interim Chief Executive of Welsh Gymnastics, Bev Smith, commented: “Kris and Fabien have already supported the Welsh Gymnastics Awards in recent months, so it is great that they are also investing in the Welsh Championships as well.

“We are expecting there to be great crowds at this year’s Championships, as it is also a Commonwealth Games trial and will be the last time we will see the shortlisted gymnasts compete for places on the plane to the Gold Coast.”

The Welsh Artistic Championships are being held at the National Sport Centre of Wales, Sophia Gardens.

On the morning of February 17th, men’s and women’s artistic gymnasts will compete, while in the afternoon the men and women’s Commonwealth Games trials will begin.

The Sunday morning will see the masters from Saturday’s contest compete, before the Commonwealth trial continues in the afternoon.

FB Curves videos will keep the crowds and gymnasts informed and entertained during breaks and pauses in the Championships.
