Welsh artistic gymnast Latalia Bevan will be taking home a silver medal after a beautiful performance at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Latalia of St Tydfils Gymnastics Club, who trains at the National Centre in Cardiff under the watchful eyes of National Coaches Tracey Skirton and Mark Calton, has secured Team Wales' first gymnastics medal at the 2018 Games in the Women's Floor final.

It's been a successful competition for 17 year old Latalia, who qualified for apparatus finals in Beam, Bars, Floor. She also came away with an impressive 6th place finish in the All-Around Final, with fellow Welsh gymnast Maisie Methuen finishing just behind in 7th.

The Women’s Artistic Team of Emily Thomas, Jolie Ruckley, Holly Thomas, Maisie and Latalia displayed some beautiful gymnastics, achieving a fantastic fourth place in the team final.

With the WAG and MAG competitions coming to a close, Welsh Gymnastics are getting ready to cheer on the Rhythmic Team this Wednesday morning in their team final and individual qualifications.

Congratulations Latalia, an amazing achievement and a very well-deserved medal!
