One hundred lucky gymnasts from Wales attended a ‘Meet the Team’ event with the 2018 Women’s Artistic Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Team on May 31st in Olympus Gymnastics Club, Wrexham.

Unsurprisingly, the event was a complete sell-out and spots were fully booked within hours of the details being announced. An additional session was even organised to allow more gymnasts the opportunity to meet the home-grown stars of the Commonwealth Games.

The event included introductions to the Artistic gymnasts, Maisie Methuen, Latalia Bevan, Holly Jones, Emily Thomas and Jolie Ruckley as well as National Coach Tracey Skirton and Judge Olivia Bryl.

Attendees could take part in a short gymnastics session, followed by time for a Q&A where the team took delight in sharing their Gold Coast experiences and stories, and finally a chance for photos and autographs with the squad.

The event was a real success and the gymnasts who attended were left feeling very inspired for their own gymnastics journey.

During their down time in North Wales, the Artistic team also took some time to visit the Bounce Below trampolines and Zip World, where they took on the infamous zip wire!
