Each year, British Gymnastics makes its tumbling squad selections based on competition results, and we're very proud to announce that some of our Welsh Tumblers have been offered spots in the GB squads.
Dimax’s Aeliyah Vergara and Rhisian Thomas have both been offered places in the Foundation Squad for gymnasts aged 11/12 years.
English Tumbling have also offered three Welsh Tumblers guest spots in their squad, whilst we put the final touches to the development of our own Welsh tumbling squad systems.
Carmarthenshire School of Gymnastics' Jade Evans and Jenson Ball, along with Aberystwyth/CCYC senior gymnast Andreas Adams, have all been invited to attend two English Tumbling Squad sessions.
Each of these squads are headed up by British Gymnastics' best coaches, and the sessions give tumblers the opportunity to train with British International gymnasts, helping to strengthen the breadth and depth of tumbling in Wales.
Along with Megan Surman, who you can read about here, Welsh Gymnastics is now proud to have six elite tumblers being offered squad places. Well done everyone, and good luck!
