On the weekend of the 21st July, Welsh Gymnastics hosted its annual Gym Eisteddfod at Sport Wales National Centre, and what an event it turned out to be! The spectacular disco-themed event welcomed 13 clubs, 18 performances and over 300 gymnasts participating throughout the day.

We would like to thank those who have already provided some lovely feedback from the day, including;

‘Brilliantly organised, the girls really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back next year. Thanks’

‘Thanks to everyone who helped organise the gym eisteddfod this year, it was an amazing and diverse celebration of gymnastics and our girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves!’

A big well done to Eve from Planet Gymnastics for getting the fastest time on the obstacle course, and a special mention to the clubs who were awarded special prizes on the day;

  • Newport Acro for their incredible choreography
  • Sutton Gymnastics Academy for amazing costumes
  • Planet Gymnastics for the sportsmanship award
  • Merton Gymnastics Club for great disco themed music
  • Ysgol Heol Goffa for the crowd’s choice award

One last thanks to all our volunteers on the day, without your help we wouldn’t be able to produce such fantastic events.

Keep a look out over the next few weeks for a highlight compilation of the day, which will be uploaded to Welsh Gymnastics' YouTube.

DE Photos were also at the event taking pictures of the performances and group photos of the teams. The event code has been sent to all the participating clubs to enable access to the pictures.

Plans are already underway for next year’s Gym Eisteddfod, and we are hoping to make it bigger and better than ever before! Don’t miss out, be sure to get involved!

A huge well done to everyone who took part.
