Over the last year, tumbling in Wales has taken a huge upturn with new clubs coming on board and attending the newly introduced tumble league.  We have seen success on both ends of the tumbling competition pathways, with two of our tumblers being selected for British Internationals and a huge increase in grassroots competition entries.

We are now in a position to be able to move forward with our plans and put a squad structure in place with a Lead Tumble Coach.

With this in mind, we are very pleased to announced that we have asked Rob Owen, who is head coach of his own multi discipline club in Birmingham, to lead the Welsh Tumble squad sessions for the next two years.

Rob has had huge success at many levels at club, regional, national and on the international stage.  He has built his club from the ground up and shares the same coaching ethos as the Welsh Gymnastics community.  He strives for perfection of shapes, conditioning, excellent communication, structure and a love of gymnastics.

Rob will work together with the Non-Olympic Discipline Development officer and the TC to arrange a squad trial date and moving forward, further training sessions and coaching workshops.

Please join us in welcoming Rob into the Welsh Tumbling Community!
