Pembrokeshire Special Needs Gymnastics is the first sports club in Pembrokeshire to be awarded the Silver Insport award.

PSNGC is a Special Needs Gymnastics Club which caters for a range of people with a wide range of disabilities and abilities. It operates every Thursday from Milford Haven Leisure Centre and is currently at full capacity.

In order to help support clubs deliver good quality sessions, Disability Sport Wales has introduced Insport. The four-tiered (Ribbon, Bronze, Silver and Gold) identification and accreditation process is to show clubs’ commitment to providing and delivering inclusive sport. With the silver accreditation achieved, the club is already on track and aim to complete the final Gold accreditation in early 2019.

The club is made up of a team of volunteers and their dedication to providing disability gymnastics is fantastic. The team at PSNGC said: “We are very proud and honoured to receive the Silver Insport award. We pride ourselves in being the only charitable, volunteer-run, special needs gymnastics club in Wales. The Insport programme has made it possible to get all of our coaches and volunteers more engaged in the club which has tremendously benefited our gymnasts and the club as a whole.”

PSNGC has had a very successful year and has entered numerous competitions. It won a record number of competitions at the 2018 Open Disability Championships in Poole, bringing home 47 medals.

Congratulations Pembrokeshire Special Needs Gymnastics Club.
