The sport sector has demonstrated a high level of commitment to good governance in recent years but there is now a huge opportunity to drive positive change among local grassroots clubs.
Sports clubs, community clubs, volunteers or organisers of sports activities in local communities should consider how good governance can increase opportunities with funders, partners and members, and revise their organisational structure and practices appropriately. Whilst governance can seem like an overwhelming topic, it's important for clubs to understand that adopting good practice and breaking these down into manageable bite-size chunks can make it more achievable.
The governance workshops will provide an insight into what good governance looks like for clubs, club structures and how the Governance and leadership Framework for Wales can be applied on a practical level.
