Welsh gymnast Elizabeth Popova has been selected for the Rhythmic team that will represent Great Britain at the Junior World Championships taking place in Moscow this July. 

This is Elizabeth's first year as a junior gymnast, and the first time the Junior World Championships is being held. She is one of just two gymnasts selected for the team. 

A member of Llanelli Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, Elizabeth has been involved in gymnastics since she was very young, beginning structured classes aged just 5. She has participated in four international competitions already this year and has been receiving some excellent scores with help from her support system at Welsh Gymnastics. 

Elizabeth is coached by former rhythmic gymnast and National Choreographer for Wales Ioana Popova, who in recent years has also been a high performance rhythmic coach and national judge. 

The Junior World Championships will take place in Moscow, Russia from the 19th - 21st July and the full selection is as follows:
