Following the launch of the Welsh Gymnastics Disability Strategy, we are excited to announce that two new competition opportunities have been added to the Artistic calendars this Autumn.

A Men’s Artistic Disability Competition will be combined with the new Men’s Artistic Apparatus Challenge Competition and will be held on September 15th in Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff.

A Women’s Artistic Disability Competition will be combined with the Level 5 and 6 Finals, which will take place on October 26th also at the Sport Wales National Centre.

Welsh Gymnastics would like to thank the Men’s and Women’s Artistic Technical Panels and members of the gymnastics community for their efforts in ensuring gymnasts with disabilities are able to access competitive opportunities throughout the pathway.

Welsh Gymnastics are working with expert judges in disability gymnastics to provide support for officials who will help to ensure the new competitions are a success.

Please send in any questions around judging gymnasts with disabilities to holly.broad@welshgymnastics to help us produce an FAQ document.  In addition, if you would like any more information on the new competitions or would like to know how to get involved please email Holly Broad using the above email.

Information about a new Welsh Women’s Artistic Disability Grades will also be released shortly. This competition will take place in March 2020 in Llanelli alongside the WA Club and Regional Grades Finals.
