New Positive Coaching eLearning course launched

We are excited to announce the launch of the new eLearning course on the topic of ‘Positive Coaching’ in conjunction with British Gymnastics.

We believe in the importance of safe participation for everyone in gymnastics. The topic of positive coaching features throughout our coaching education, but we felt it was important to supplement this by providing more professional development for our community. We are confident that our community shares our belief in the importance of this subject and hope that they will feel the content is valuable.

The course is free for all our members who hold a Level 2 or above coaching qualification and is compulsory. Those who renew their membership in September 2019 will have from now until September 2020 to complete the course. For those who are due to renew in January 2020 or beyond, the course will need to be completed prior to renewal.

The course aims to raise awareness on how different belief systems impact coaching behaviours and the coach-participant relationship. It provides relevant examples, opportunities to reflect, and strategies that coaches can apply directly to their coaching.

British Gymnastics Men’s Artistic Head National Coach, Paul Hall MBE recently completed the course:

“As a coach, I know the value of good feedback and, having just completed the Positive Coaching eLearning course, I would recommend it to everyone involved in the sport. Its message is well presented, and I found the course to be an essential tool in creating a safe and effective coaching environment.”

If you are a Level 2 or above qualified coach, you can now enrol here. Once enrolled, an email will be sent to you with further instructions on how to access and complete the course in our Academy.
