Dear Club Member,

Over the past few weeks life as we know it has changed for the foreseeable future. In a short space of time we appreciate that not only our sport, but people across the world have faced significant uncertainty. I hope that you, your families and loved ones are all well and continue to keep safe during this time.

To the key workers and their families, we are ever so grateful for your dedication. We will do all that we can to support you and keep you safe. I have always been in awe of our community and the volunteers and this has been even more paramount during the past few weeks. The community spirit shown by our gymnastics clubs to other clubs and their members is outstanding; thank you to those offering guidance and support. I know that many members have volunteered in their communities; helping others during their hour of need. I am immensely proud of the heart of those involved in gymnastics.

During these concerning times gymnastics has not stopped. Clubs have developed, adapted and driven innovative ways to communicate to their community and keep their members engaged and active. For many of our community, gymnastics is an integral part of everyday life and vital for their health and well-being. We appreciate that this time will be difficult and challenging but know that it will pass; we will come through together, stronger

Our team are here to listen and support. If you need information, to find advice or a listening ear, please call us at any time. Please continue to reach out to support one other; together we and gymnastics will survive and continue to flourish.

We will work closely with British Gymnastics, other Home Nations and members to share activities and ideas. I hope these will provide support to clubs to continue to engage with their members and provide opportunities for activity until such time that normality can return.

We ask you to stay informed and follow the NHS guidelines. Information changes daily and we will continue to update our specific News Page.

Stay Safe,

Bev Smith , Chair of Welsh Gymnastics
