UK Sport and Sport England have been informed that the deadline for the Whyte Review call of evidence has been extended to Friday 9th October 2020.

Anne Whyte QC has filmed a video message to announce the extension and to thank those who have contributed so far, which you can access here:

On 25th August 2020, UK Sport and Sport England announced the Terms of Reference for the Whyte Review, an independent review into allegations about mistreatment within the sport of gymnastics.

Welsh Gymnastics is committed to making sure everyone can learn and enjoy gymnastics in a positive, safe and healthy environment. We welcome the announcement of the Whyte Review. It will provide a robust and independent review of the culture and practices within gymnastics and we are committed to learning from the findings.

If you have, or have had, any issues or concerns around behaviours and culture at your club, or during Welsh Gymnastics events or performance programmes, please speak up. Contact us confidentially via contactus@welshgymnastics.org  whether you are a gymnast, coach, parent or safeguarding officer. You can also call the British Athletes Commission/NSPCC Helpline confidentially on 0800 056 0566.

You are able to view the British Gymnastics statements here.
