The First Minister has announced a circuit-breaker lockdown is to be introduced across Wales from 6pm on Friday 23 October until Monday 9 November.
As a result of this, it is regrettable that all gymnastics activity indoors, as well as activity outdoors with people outside of your own household, must once again cease for this short period.
The Welsh Government is asking everyone in Wales to stay at home as much as possible.
You can continue to exercise outdoors, but it should start and finish at home (unless there are mobility issues) and exercise should be done alone – or only with those you live with.
Extensive FAQs, including sections on sport and exercise, are available on the Welsh Government website.
There are further funds being released by the Welsh Government to businesses affected, payment of some of these funds will be automatic.
The Welsh Government has created an extra Economic Resilience Fund of almost £300 million and an extra £150 million is being put into Phase 3 of the ERF. Every business covered by the small business rate relief will get a £1,000 payment while SME retail, leisure, hospitality and tourism businesses will receive a one-off payment of up to £5,000.
Funds will open in the first week of the circuit-breaker. All businesses required to close will also be able to access the support available through the UK Government.
More information, including around extra financial support, will follow in due course.
