Welsh Gymnastics is pleased to announce the publication of the Welsh Gymnastics Commonwealth Games 2022 Nomination and Selection Policy for men’s artistic, rhythmic and women’s artistic gymnastics.

The aim of these policies is to nominate gymnasts to Commonwealth Games Wales that are capable of competing with distinction at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Welsh Gymnastics Head of Performance, Jo Coombs, said: “The publication of these policies represents the start of our journey towards Birmingham 2022, and has been written in conjunction with Commonwealth Games Wales, with the aim of maximising our medal potential in Birmingham.

“In these unprecedented times we believe these policies will provide renewed focus and motivation during their training and in preparation for competition once these restart.

“I would like to wish all the long list gymnasts the best of luck during the selection period and believe the policies have been designed to provide our gymnasts with the best possible chance of achieving the nomination and selection criteria for the Games.”
