Ann's role is...

As CEO of Welsh Gymnastics, Ann is continually checking and challenging all areas of Welsh Gymnastics to make the experience for current and existing members better. 

What's keeping Ann busy:

  • Ensuring that the entire Welsh Gymnastics community, from the parents to the board, are enjoying a positive experience of sport - one that is always improving
  • Keeping an eye on the growth of gymnastics in Wales
  • Strategically guiding the sport through future opportunities and challenges, and ensuring outstanding support for our growing membership. 

Gymnastics history: 

In her previous role as a High Performance Advisor for Sport Wales, Ann helped sports’ national governing bodies to build support systems and infrastructure to support elite athletes. In the last Commonwealth Cycle, Ann worked with a variety of sports to prepare their coaches and athletes for the games and her work contributed to Wales’ most successful Commonwealth Games.

More about Ann: A native of Pembroke, Ann represented Wales at Hockey in the Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games in 1998 and was a physical education teacher in Howells School in Cardiff for more than 17 years. Since leaving teaching she has worked in various roles at Sport Wales. She is passionate about introducing as many people as possible, of all ages, to the foundation stages of sport.
