Tracey Singlehurst-Ward
Legal & policy director

 Tracey's role is...

Advising Welsh Gymnastics' board on a wide range of legal and policy issues.

What's keeping Tracey busy:

  • Working with the Chair and the board to modernise the constitutional rules and governance of Welsh Gymnastics. This has included measuring Welsh Gymnastics' performance and bringing in improvements to increase the already great success of the organisation

Gymnastics history: Tracey joined Welsh Gymnastics as Legal and Policy Director in May 2013. Since then she says she has seen the organisation go from strength-to-strength at all levels. Tracey admits her own gymnastics career ended early when she failed to master the roly-poly.

More about Tracey:  Tracey's a partner at Hugh James, solicitors based in Cardiff, which she joined upon graduating from Cardiff University in 2007. She specialises in sports law, commercial contract disputes, intellectual property and media disputes as well as company disputes. She has represented a wide range of sporting and commercial clients including the Welsh Rugby Union, British Boxing Board of Control, regional clubs and unions and high-profile athletes.
