Welsh gymnasts Jemima Taylor and Abigail Roper delivered outstanding performances on the international stage as they represented Great Britain at the Luxembourg Open, held on the 2nd and 3rd April.

Competing against a strong field, both gymnasts played a key role in Great Britain’s success, showcasing the depth of talent within Welsh Gymnastics. Their contributions helped the team claim the gold medal and stand proudly as team champions.

Individually, Abigail Roper had a particularly impressive competition. She qualified for both the Vault and Uneven Bars finals, demonstrating her versatility and consistency across apparatus. In the Vault final, Abigail produced a standout performance to be crowned Vault Champion, marking a fantastic achievement at international level. She also competed in the Bars final, finishing in 8th place against tough competition.

Jemima Taylor also enjoyed a successful competition, delivering a confident all-around performance and achieving a personal best score. Her result highlights her continued progress and development, and reflects the hard work put in both in training and competition.

The performances of both gymnasts are a testament not only to their dedication, but also to the strength of Welsh Gymnastics on the international stage. Representing both Wales and Great Britain with pride, Jemima and Abigail have set a strong example and laid down an exciting marker for future competitions.
