On Saturday 8 November 2025, during the Disability British Gymnastics Championships held at Fenton Manor Sports Complex in Stoke, gymnasts from across the UK gathered to compete at the national level. The event once again celebrated the skill, dedication, and resilience of athletes within the disability gymnastics community, including a strong contingent of Welsh gymnasts who proudly represented their club on the British stage.

In the Senior Women’s Class 1 competition, Bethany Paull of Valleys Gymnastics Academy recorded a strong overall showing. She finished 7th in the all-around, and on individual apparatus she placed 4th on Vault, 5th on Bars, 7th on Beam, and rounded off with a 3rd place on Floor, a podium finish and a brilliant closing routine. Bethany’s floor score in particular stood out, securing her a coveted place among the medal-winners and providing a highlight moment for her club.

In the Junior Women’s Class 2, Sara Walbyoff gave a solid performance for Valleys Gymnastics Academy. She finished 6th in the all-around and maintained consistency across all four apparatus: 6th on Vault, 6th on Bars, 6th on Beam, and 6th on Floor.

The championships once again proved to be more than just a competition: they are a celebration of the athleticism, adaptability, and dedication of the disability gymnastics community.

For Valleys Gymnastics Academy, the weekend delivered strong results and confidence-building performances. Bethany’s podium finish in Senior Class 1 and Sara’s consistent all-around performance in Junior Class 2 underscore the club’s thriving programme in disability gymnastics.

Congratulations to all the competitors for their achievements.
