Wales enjoyed a hugely successful outing at the Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT Home Nations competition on Friday 29th May, delivering an impressive medal haul and a series of standout performances against strong opposition from England and Scotland.

Around 180 athletes competed across the event, with 34 Welsh gymnasts representing their nation across the trampoline, tumbling and double mini trampoline disciplines. The Welsh squad rose to the challenge superbly, producing medal-winning performances and demonstrating the strength and depth of talent within the programme.

In tumbling, Wales dominated several age groups. In the Male 10–12 competition, Welsh gymnasts completed a clean sweep of the podium, with Guto Williams taking gold, Caleb Owens securing silver and Corey Rees claiming bronze.

Mared Rees added to the medal tally with an excellent silver-medal performance in the Female 10–12 category, while Emily Haste delivered a standout routine to take gold in the Female 17+ competition. In the Male 17+ category, Dylan Smallcombe secured the title, with Peter Goldberg completing a Welsh one-two by earning silver.

There was further success in trampoline, where Efan Oates claimed gold in the Male 13–14 category. In the 11–12 Synchro event, Olivia Cole and Matilda Jones produced a strong performance to secure bronze.

The Welsh trampoline programme also showcased its strength collectively, with Wales finishing top of both the Overall Female Team and Overall Male Team standings.

The competition marked another positive step forward for Welsh Gymnastics, with athletes demonstrating confidence, composure and quality across all disciplines. Their performances reflected the hard work and dedication shown in training and highlighted the continued growth of the sport in Wales, with gymnasts delivering on the national stage and providing plenty of reasons to be optimistic for the future.
