The stage is set for the 2025 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships, taking place in Leipzig, Germany from 26th–31st May. Among the 146 female gymnasts representing 38 nations, five talented athletes will compete for Great Britain— including three rising stars from Wales.

Ruby Evans, Emily Roper, and Frances Stone have all earned their place on the prestigious senior women’s team, joining teammates Alia Leat and Ruby Stacey to form a dynamic and promising squad. For both Roper and Stone, this marks their Senior International debut—an incredible milestone in their gymnastics journeys and a testament to their hard work and rising talent. Additionally, after her success at the recent Osijek World Cup, Jemima Taylor has been named the reserve for the event.

All four of these Welsh gymnasts are also named on the longlist for Team Wales ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, making this selection even more significant as they gain valuable experience on the international stage.

Competition kicks off on Sunday 26th May, with the Women’s Qualification and Team Final happening on the first day. Fans won’t have to wait long to see the Welsh gymnasts in action as they compete alongside the best in Europe right from the outset.

The Women’s All-Around Final will follow on Wednesday 29th May, with Apparatus Finals scheduled for 30th and 31st May, wrapping up an exciting week of elite gymnastics.

This championship is not just a stepping stone—it’s a showcase of the next generation of British talent, and we’re beyond proud to see our Welsh athletes at the heart of it. Good luck to Ruby, Emily, and Frances—we can’t wait to watch you shine on the European stage!
