Welsh Gymnastics is pleased to announce the appointment of Imogen Richards as the new Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) National Coach, who will join the organisation on 17th April.

Speaking about joining Welsh Gymnastics, Imogen Richards said:
“I’m really excited to join Welsh Gymnastics as Welsh National Coach. The passion within the Welsh gymnastics community is unmatched, and I’m looking forward to supporting the growth of the sport, help develop talent, and ensure gymnastics continues to thrive.”

Imogen brings valuable experience from her coaching roles at Llanelli Gymnastics Club, and more recently, South Devon Gymnastics Club.

She joins the programme at an exciting time, with the newly appointed Head National Coach, Olivia Bryl, also returning from maternity leave. Together, with Amany Gouda, their combined experience will further strengthen the WAG coaching team and support the continued development of the programme.

Welcoming the appointment, Holly Broad, Executive Director of Performance at Welsh Gymnastics, said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Imogen into this role. With the WAG programme in Wales moving into a new phase of change, I’m excited about what lies ahead”.
