The 2025 Rushmoor Rose Bowl took place over the weekend of 25–26 October at the Rushmoor Gymnastics Academy in Aldershot. The annual event, a highlight of the British gymnastics calendar, brought together teams and individual competitors from across the United Kingdom and abroad for two days of artistic gymnastics competition.

Wales fielded a strong women’s team and delivered an exceptional performance that saw them finish at the top of the National Rose Bowl team rankings. Their combined score of 198.375 comfortably secured first place ahead of South Africa, who finished second. The Welsh team’s consistency across all four apparatuses was evident, with clean routines and confident execution contributing to their commanding total.

Individually, it was a particularly successful weekend for Welsh gymnasts Emily Roper and Abigail Roper, who took the top two positions in the all-around standings. Emily Roper claimed the all-around title with a total of 52.100, showcasing elegant artistry and technical precision throughout her routines. Her teammate Abigail Roper followed behind with 50.550, securing a Welsh one-two on the podium.

Other members of the Welsh squad also made their mark, delivering strong individual performances that helped reinforce Wales’ dominance at the competition. Roxanne-Nika Sochon and Jemima Taylor both finished within the top ten, contributing to an overall sense of depth and cohesion within the team.

The results at Aldershot underline the growing strength of Welsh gymnastics on the international stage. The combination of seasoned competitors and promising younger athletes demonstrates the success of the national training programme and the high standards being maintained within the Welsh squad.

With their triumph at the 2025 Rushmoor Rose Bowl, Wales not only added another prestigious title to their record but also set a confident tone for upcoming national and international competitions. The weekend’s success serves as a clear indication that Welsh gymnastics continues to rise in both quality and consistency, promising even greater results in the seasons ahead.
