Welsh Gymnastics work with British Gymnastics, UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) and the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) to safeguard the integrity of our sport. Welsh Gymnastics fully endorse testing by UKAD and FIG.
Read the UK Anti-Doping Rules

Did you know?

  • All athletes are solely responsible for any banned substance they use, attempt to use, or found in their system, no matter how it got there and whether or not they intended to cheat. Check your medication before taking it

  • Testing may take place at competitions ('in competition') and at National Squad training sessions ('out of competition')

  • Gymnasts  aged under 16 may be tested

  • Gymnasts can be tested at home or at their club, in particular when they are of international standard

  • Diet, lifestyle and training should all be optimised before considering supplementation

You'll find full information in the anti-doping section of British Gymnastics' website, including:

  • How to check medication over the phone or by email
  • Testing procedures and athletes' rights
  • The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)'s list of substances and methods prohibited in sport  ('the Prohibited List')
  • Therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs)
  • How athletes on the National Registered Testing Pool (NRTP) officially record their whereabouts
