Welsh Gymnastics aim to create great communities and champions. As a governing body, we lead, develop, support and act as the guardian of the sport in Wales.
Our mission is for Wales to be recognised as a leading gymnastics nation, producing world-class champions and creating vibrant, inclusive communities where every gymnast has a high-quality experience.

Our story...
We go back to 1902, when the Welsh Amateur Gymnastics Association (WAGA) was founded. For most of that century, WAGA catered for men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics.
By the mid-1980s, the disciplines of acrobatics gymnastics, general gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics had emerged. Today, general gymnastics includes programmes for preschool-age children as well as children and adults with special needs.
Since the late 1990s, aerobics, trampolining, tumbling and Welsh schools have come under the Welsh Gymnastics banner.
By 2004, Welsh Gymnastics had dropped their amateur status and become a company limited by guarantee. Welsh Gymnastics is registered with companies house: Company number 5088631.
The organisation's now steered by a skills-based board of directors, chaired by Bev Smith.
