Welsh Gymnastics is celebrating success at the Artistic European Championships as four talented athletes were selected to represent Great Britain in Rimini. Their performances highlighted their skill and talent, earning admiration on the international stage.

Frances Stone, a Welsh Junior selected to compete, unfortunately sustained an ankle injury during the last control competition, preventing her from competing in the championships. Welsh Gymnastics extends its warmest wishes for her a quick recovery and return to the sport she loves.

In the Junior team final, Ellie Lewis and Jemima Taylor contributed significantly to the British teams final score and helped them to place an incredible 5th in Europe. Ellie Lewis’s exceptional performance on the uneven bars during qualification earned her a well-deserved spot in the apparatus final, where she placed 8th.

Ruby Evans played a vital role in the senior team’s success, competing on all apparatus during qualifying, helping the team qualify into the team final in second place. In the team final, Ruby contributed on both vault and floor exercise. Her efforts contributed to Great Britain maintaining their second-place position and securing the silver medal.

As these talented gymnasts continue to inspire young gymnasts and represent their country on the international stage, their achievements serve as a source of pride and motivation for the entire nation. Their success paves the way for future generations of aspiring gymnasts, showcasing the strength and talent within Welsh Gymnastics.
