Plovdiv silver for Welsh aerobic gymnasts Emily and Rosie in Bulgaria  

Welsh aerobic gymnasts Emily James and Rosie Howells returned home from Bulgaria with a silver medal in their luggage after a successful Plovdiv Cup Aerobic Open championships with the Southern Region GBR squad.

Emily (Sparkles Gymnastics) and Rosie (Basingstoke Gymnastics Club) were joined by Sparkles’ Elena Hamblin, Niamh Keane and Connor Keane to compete as a group.

They made finals and improved their performance with a dynamic and entertaining routine to earn themselves a fantastic silver medal.

Earlier Emily and Rosie also competed together in a trio along with Elena, performing a lovely routine to secure fourth place in the final. 

The competition was well attended with more than 490 participants from 20 nations from all over the world.
