Team Wales star Poppy earns GB call for Paris
Commonwealth Games gymnast Poppy Stickler has been selected to represent Great Britain at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup series event in Paris next month.
It will be Poppy’s second World Challenge Cup series appearance of the year, having marked her senior bow for Britain with a stunning silver medal on floor in Slovenia back in June.
She will travel across the Channel as part of the GB delegation for the event taking place on 24th and 25th September along with coach Olivia Bryl.
The 16-year-old, also a British bronze medallist on floor earlier in the year, was part of Team Wales at this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham – where she qualified for the women’s individual all-around and floor finals, eventually finishing in a fantastic fifth in the all-around and sixth on floor.
