Laura Halford
Rhythmic Development National Coach

Laura's role is…

Coaching up-and-coming talent in the rhythmic development squads, preparing them to move up the performance pathway.

Gymnastics history:  Laura’s journey in the sport started aged 5 and her natural flexibility saw her gravitate towards rhythmic gymnastics. By the age of 9, she was representing both Wales and Great Britain.

Her list of achievements includes six senior Welsh titles, five senior British titles while she also represented Great Britain at four Rhythmic World Championships.

Laura won all-around and ball bronze, as well as team silver, representing Team Wales at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Four years later, she won her fourth Commonwealth Games medal, this time silver with the hoop, at Gold Coast 2018. She made the move into coaching after retiring – as British champion – later that year.
