Mark’s role is…

To support the Chair, Chief Executive and Board members in reviewing the way in which Welsh Gymnastics is governed.

What’s keeping Mark busy:

  • Working alongside the Chair and Board Members and team to ensure that the highest level of Constitutional Rules and Governance are in place for Welsh Gymnastics.

Gymnastics history: As a former Welsh International gymnast at both junior and senior level, Mark brings a passion and understanding of the sport from grassroots through to international level. Mark gained his gymnastic experience at Cardiff Central Boys Club, before moving to Swansea Gymnastics Centre, representing the club individually and as part of the men’s team on many occasions

More about Mark: Mark brings over 20 years’ experience working within the public and educational sectors in a variety of senior management positions. Throughout his employment he has gained significant experience of managing political processes, implementing governance systems, risk and budget management as well as project managing a variety of high profile corporate, public engagement and stakeholder events. He is currently employed by Natural Resources Wales as a Team Leader and Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive.

Educated at Cardiff institute of Sport, Mark gained a degree in Sport and Human Movement Studies, before attaining a Master Degree in Sport and Leisure Management.
