Tomos’ role is…
Advising Welsh Gymnastics’ Board on a wide range of legal, policy and governance issues.
What’s keeping Tomos busy:
- Working with the Chair and the board to strategically lead the organisation in its decision making and supporting the collective desire to see the sport grow and thrive, providing positive experiences for all involved.
- Providing legal, policy and governance support to the Chair and the board.
Gymnastics history: Tomos joined Welsh Gymnastics as Legal and Governance Director in September 2021.
The only previous experience Tomos had of gymnastics was attending tumble tots as a toddler. However, Tomos has always been a keen sportsman having participated, spectated, coached or being involved in the administration and running of sports from a young age.
Tomos is a strong advocate that being physically active, participating in or spectating in sports is the best form of medicine available and whilst sport has its evident physical benefits, sports has a massive role to play in individuals’ mental health and wellbeing.
Having previously been member of various teams, including most recently Clwb Cymric football team in Cardiff, Tomos is currently training for Ironman Wales which is to be held in Tenby in September 2022.
